The Kambata Development Association (KDA) recognizes infrastructure as a cornerstone of economic development and has established a dedicated department to lead initiatives in this sector. Over the years, KDA has made significant contributions to the Zone’s infrastructure, including the construction of 74 km of rural gravel roads connecting woredas, kebeles, the zonal capital, neighboring zones, and eco-tourism sites, as well as a 7 km asphalt road within Durame Town. The Association has also built three concrete bridges, supported five rural villages in accessing electricity, developed 50 springs and hand-dug wells to improve water access, and constructed a public toilet facility at the Durame bus station. To sustain and expand these efforts, KDA has developed its own capable construction crew, equipped with vehicles, machinery, engineers, and skilled personnel, enabling it to deliver projects efficiently, on time, and with appropriate technology.
